Tuition & Program Fees

July 2013:  Until further notice, applications for the Master of Science in Health Care Policy and Management  have been suspended.

The Advanced Certificate in Health Care Management is accepting students for Spring 2014.   The application deadline is November 1, 2013.  Students who are accepted must be matriculated for at least two semesters.

Health Insurance* Variable

*Full-time students are required to show proof of health insurance. If students cannot show proof of health insurance, they will be billed by the University. The approximate cost is $1,200 per year.

Students accepted into the Master’s or Certificate Program are subject to State University of New York (SUNY) tuition and fees.

Fees are subject to change.

Paper bills are no longer mailed to you.  Once you register for a class, you must check your SOLAR account to see your balance.  You can pay your bill online via SOLAR.


Financial Aid

Questions pertaining to financial aid should be directed to the Health Sciences Center Office of Student Services at 631 444-2111, extension 2 (Financial Aid/Billing). You can email your questions to hscstudentservices@stonybrook.edu.

Full-time students should immediately fill out the FAFSA form (you can also go online to get this: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov).

You should inquire about the summer loan application. This application is available on SOLAR. (Students must be enrolled in at least six or more credits.)

Housing

On-campus housing may be available to students who are accepted into the Master’s program. You must be a full-time student in order to apply for on-campus housing.

You should apply for graduate housing IMMEDIATELY. The last day for applying is usually early May. Complete your housing application ASAP (which is included in your admissions package from Office of Student Services). You may want to Fed Ex or UPS your housing response sheet and deposit back to the address given.

If you are accepted into the Master’s program, you will be sent an email from Student Services. Follow all directions found in the email. You must accept your offer within 14 days or risk losing your place in the program; the sooner you accept your offer, the sooner you will be entered into the computer system. Housing cannot be considered until you have accepted your offer. You also need to complete your housing forms and send your deposit.
