Rachel McDonald

Rachel McDonald, Ph.D. Student

Rachel is a higher education researcher and third year graduate student at the College of William and Mary, where she is pursuing a PhD in Education Policy, Planning, and Leadership. Rachel currently facilitates a hybrid student leadership institute she developed for the VCCS Great Expectations program for foster youth. Her research interests include accessibility in higher education, disability studies, and student leadership. She is also working on her dissertation proposal, which focuses on the college readmission process for students who have taken academic leave for mental health reasons. She will complete her degree in the Spring of 2016. Rachel’s mentor is Dr. Alberto Guzman.
