Alan S. Cooper, MD, MPH
Clinical Assistant Professor
Professor Cooper is a retired family physician. He practiced in Setauket, New York, from 1982 thru 2004. After retiring from practice, he taught clinical medicine on the Caribbean island of Bonaire before returning to Stony Brook to earn an MPH degree. His undergraduate degree was from Rensselaer Poly Tech in Industrial Engineering and his MD degree is from New York Medical College. He is currently teaching courses in Health Care Delivery Systems and Statistical Process Control.
Interests include sailing and tournament bridge.
