Thank you for visiting the Stony Brook University Advanced Certificate in Health Care Management. Health care is a rapidly evolving field, encompassing an array of specialties performed in a variety of settings. This field demands people in managerial positions who understand the complexities of the health care system, how health care systems operate, how to exercise leadership effectively in dynamic organizations, and how to meet the needs of patients in an ethical and just manner. This program provides the learning experience required to meet these very demands. Jointly run by the School of Health Technology and Management and the College of Business, the 18-credit Advanced Certificate in Health Care Management welcomes students interested in accepting managerial positions in the health care setting or understanding how health care and management intersect.
