Eva Rodriguez

Eva Rodriguez, Ph.D., OTR/L. 

Eva Rodriguez has been a faculty member in the Occupational Therapy Program since the Fall of 1996. Prof. Rodriguez has had a clinical practice for the past 24 years in the area of pediatrics, and she continues to provide occupational therapy services in local school districts. She is certified in the Administration and Interpretation of the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT), as well as the eight week course of Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) for the pediatric population. Prof. Rodriguez also has certifications in Infant Massage Instruction and in Assistive Technology. She has received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from CUNY @ York College, a Master’s of Arts degree in Pediatric Dysphagia from Lesley University, and her PhD degree is in Post-Secondary and Adult Education from Capella University. Her current responsibilities in the Occupational Therapy program is Program Chairperson, and has experience teaching the following courses: Introduction to Occupational Therapy, Human Growth and Development, Occupational Therapy in Pediatric Settings, Theory and Treatment in Sensory Integration, Professional Behaviors II, Assistive Technology and Universal Design, and Introduction to Evidence Based Practice and Research. Prof. Rodriguez’ research interests are in the areas of Parent and Child Development, and in Postsecondary Learning. Dr. Rodriguez will serve as a mentor to Margarita Espada.
