As a Regional Training Center and Northeast/Caribbean AIDS Education & Training Center, many CPHE training courses are accepted towards meeting the continuing education training hours required by the Office of Continuing Medical Education, School of Medicine for CMEs and CMUs and for Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) for credentialing. These educational credits are free of charge. As a local performance site for the Northeast/Caribbean AIDS Education & Training Center, CPHE is available to do on-site training that addresses the training needs of health care providers. Training consultants and staff are adept at developing and tailoring training presentations to meet the unique needs of each provider. The training format can be:

LEVEL I - DIDACTIC PRESENTATION
These lecture-type presentations may also include panel discussions, self instructional materials, journal clubs and conferences. Program lengths vary from brief lectures to full-day conferences.
LEVEL II - SKILLS BUILDING/INTERACTIVE TRAINING
These interactive, skills-building activities may include discussion of cases supplied by the trainer, role-play, simulated patient-provider workshops and train-the-trainer models.
LEVEL III - CLINICAL TRAINING
These interactive training programs put the participant in touch with actual clinical care experiences with patients. Activities may include preceptorships, 'mini-residencies,' or observation of clinical care.
LEVEL IV - CLINICAL GUIDANCE/COMMUNITIES OF PRACTICE
For patient-specific clinical guidance, specialists throughout the Northeast/Caribbean AIDS Education & Training Center region are available by telephone, email, or in person. Clinical consultations and discussion of cases supplied by the participant/trainee make this program extremely rich in learning and experience. The Northeast/Caribbean AIDS Education & Training Center is partnering with the HRSA/AETC National HIV/AIDS Clinician's Consultation Center which includes the Warmline (800-993-3413), and PEPline (888-HIV-4911), clinical guidance services that are staffed 24 hours a day.
LEVEL V - TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
As part of our ongoing support services, the Northeast/Caribbean AIDS Education & Training CenteR offers resources, guidance and assistance to improve HIV service delivery and performance at an organizational level. Technical assistance can be tailored to meet a specific need or request.
