Biography


Dr. McConlogue Ferro has published in both of her areas of expertise, most recently, the knowledge translation study on 'IDEA to GOALS' was published in Pediatric Physical Therapy.  She is currently in the process of final analysis regarding the DREAM Project (inclusive dance program), a mixed methods study intended to capture and 'give voice' to all participants, inclusive of age, cognitive, social-emotional, communication and motoric abilities.  Stony Brook Doctor of Physical Therapy students and alumni continue to play an important role in supporting participation for all children during the DREAM Project.  Dr. McConlogue Ferro presented pilot study findings regarding DREAM at the prestigious IV STEP conference (2016, APTA Neurology and Pediatric sections). In addition, she has presented for the Kennedy center and published in their "Exemplary Papers" series.  She was honored to receive the SBU SHTM Faculty Honor Award in 2008, as an adjunct faculty member.
