Message from the Dean March 11, 2020

March 11, 2020

Dear Students,

As you may be aware, Interim President Bernstein and the administration of SUNY have directed us to deliver all courses remotely starting March 23, 2020.  Your individual program leaders will work with you on clinical placements and laboratory experiences.  This initiative is in the best interest of our Stony Brook community, with the intent of minimizing exposure to the COVID-19 Virus.

We have been working with the faculty and staff to assure that you continue to receive the quality education that you expect from Stony Brook University.

I want to reinforce that the faculty and administration remain fully engaged and are here to assist in any way during this time.

I encourage you to use this time to explore new opportunities in learning and your positions in health care. Management of such an event is part of all our responsibilities as health care practitioners.

Feel free to reach out to your program faculty or our office with your concerns.

Sincerely,

Stacy Jaffee Gropack, PT., Ph.D., FASAHP
