A little more than a year after the Boston Marathon Bombing, more than 7,000 PAs from around the country gathered at the American Academy of Physician Assistants meeting in Boston. One of the General Sessions at the conference was a panel discussion on the experiences and broader lessons learned and which featured four PAs and two physicians who worked in Boston hospitals the day of the bombing. The panel included Sandy (Morgan) Fitzgerald, a 2010 graduate of Stony Brook's PA program, and was moderated by Larry Herman, current President of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and a 1993 Stony Brook PA program graduate.
